Music Director & Accompanist

After guest conducting our 2022 Summer concert, we are delighted that Neil Matthews has joined Coro Nuovo in the role of Music Director.

Neil Matthews was brought up in the north east of England and went to the University of Durham where he read music and was organ scholar.  After graduating, he was appointed Assistant Director of Music at Ipswich school.  Neil became Director of Music at Hurstpierpoint College in 2004 where he has continued the musical life of the school developing it into a high-profile activity.

David hails from Sussex and was educated at Warden Park School and Ardingly College. He read music at Corpus Christi College, Oxford and has also held organ scholarships at Sherborne Abbey and Truro Cathedral. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists. David teaches at The London Oratory School and Coloma Convent Girls’ School and is Organist at St Mary’s Beddington.
