A Leading Sussex ChoirCoro Nuovo
Welcome to Sussex choir Coro Nuovo! We are proud to inspire people through music and share the joy of singing. We perform an extensive repertoire both a cappella and with accompaniment. Our talented choir consists of experienced voices encompassing a wide area many of whom are professional musicians.Â
Versatility and a celebration of diverse musical expression are central to the choir’s performance and education ethos which we celebrate every year with our Sussex Young Musician Competition. The competition offers bursary prizes to those young musicians at the start of their career.Â
We are dedicated to creating a community that loves and supports music and we would love you to join us in our mission to inspire and nurture musical talent in Sussex.

Coro Nuovo – What does it mean and how do I say it?
We often get asked how to pronounce Coro Nuovo and what does it mean?
Coro Nuovo is Italian for New Choir.
Why did we choose this name? We are different from many other choirs because each time we sing it’s a different mix of singers, a completely different programme of music and a different location. This may be more challenging for the choir, but it’s great for audiences.
We asked an Italian friend to record how she would say Coro Nuovo so have a quick listen by clicking the audio link below. However, as long our singers enjoy rehearsing and performing concerts and our audiences like listening to us, please pronounce Coro Nuovo in the way that works for you!
